MATT WOODARD

Matt started out recording his own bands for fun around 1999 and began running sound at his local church youth group around the same time. Since that time, Matt has worked as a recording engineer and live audio engineer at Central Washington University’s Music department, where he ran sound for a number of different concert events including quarterly Jazz Nite concerts featuring the department’s jazz bands and 1-on-a-mic vocal jazz groups (gear summary: 15+ mic’d singers, mic’d rhythm section, Allen & Heath ML3000 mixing console, DBX Drive Rack, Meyer M2D line array speakers). He also spent a few years working for Cascade Productions, a recording studio in Cle Elum, WA, as an engineer and producer. Matt was the tech manager for Raw Space Performing Arts Venue in Ellensburg, where he was resposible for all things related to sound at the venue, including running sound for weekend shows. While attending CWU, Matt ran sound for community events in and around Ellensburg, WA, including productions put on by Valley Musical Theatre (gear summary: typically 10+ wireless lavalier mics, area stage micing, other gear depends on performance venue). He has also run sound in places such as Spokane, Washington’s First Interstate Center (gear summary: Soundcraft Vi6 console, Meyer line array system) and at various churches in paid as well as volunteer positions. From budget systems in houses of worship to large format digital consoles in opera houses, Matt has the experience needed to make your event or recording session a success.
